In September 2020, we debuted the Travis Scott Meal — a Quarter Pounder with Cheese, bacon, lettuce, fries with BBQ sauce, and a Sprite, built around the rapper's own go-to order. It marked McDonald's first celebrity partnership since Michael Jordan in '92, and the first time a celebrity's name had appeared on the menu in nearly 30 years. The meal was met with such overwhelming demand that it broke McDonald's supply chain nationwide — restaurants ran short on Quarter Pounder beef, bacon, lettuce, and onions within a week of launch.
